Hi
We are having an existing board with AM3356 which has the following interfaces
- 16 bit DDR3 RAM
- 8 bit NAND Flash
- RGMII1 and RGMII 2 used for Gigabit ethernet
- UART0,UART1,UART3 and 5 used
- SPI0 , I2C0 used
We want implement Profibus in this device on using the PR1_UART0_RXD and PR1_UART0_TXD Lines . Whether This is possible .
Whether selecting PRU UART affects other features used in the design ?
Do we need to have a major Firmware change in the board ?
Also is there any other signals required in the Hardware ( apart from Direction control GPIO)
