Hi Support team.
I have a few questions about the AM625 CPU for which I can't find a clear answer in any document provided on the product's page.
My questions are related to the Display outputs.
In the datasheet it is mentioned the following:
Multimedia:
• Display subsystem
– Dual display support
– 1920x1080 @ 60fps for each display
– 1x 2048x1080 + 1x 1280x720
– Up to 165 MHz pixel clock support with
Independent PLL for each display
– OLDI (4 lanes LVDS - 2x) and DPI (24-bit RGB
LVCMOS)
As I understand from the datasheet, the AM625 CPU has one 2-channel LVDS interface and one 24-bit DPI (parallel) display interface:
- What is the maximum resolution at a 60Hz refresh rate for the LVDS display when a single LVDS channel is used?
- What is the maximum resolution at a 60Hz refresh rate for the LVDS display when both LVDS channels are used?
- What is the maximum resolution at a 60Hz refresh rate for the two LVDS displays connected to the separate LVDS channels?
- What is the maximum resolution at a 60Hz refresh rate for the 24-bit DPI (parallel) display?
- Is it possible to use LVDS and DPI displays simultaneously? What is the maximum resolution at a 60Hz in Dual display configuration?
Hello Oleksiy Kasyan
Thank you for the query.
is this a generic query or do you have a use case that you can provide.
There are number of queries. FYI, one of the constraints for supporting the functionalities is the memory.
Below is a quick summary of what i could find.
I will have to assign to a display expert to support based on your inputs.

Well. I'm developing a product (Computer on Module) that exposes the LVDS and DPI interfaces which can be used in any combination. I would like to know the capabilities of the display interfaces in different combinations.
Hello Oleksiy Kasyan
Thank you.
There are 2 parts to the question
Display sub system capabilities
Processor capabilities.
Can you confirm you are checking the Display sub system capabilities.

Hello Oleksiy Kasyan
Thank you for the clarification.
Let me review and update you.

Hello Oleksiy Kasyan,
Please refer below inputs.
I'm checking the Display sub-system capabilities.
As I understand from the datasheet, the AM625 CPU has one 2-channel (Dual-link) LVDS interface and one 24-bit DPI (parallel) display interface:
- What is the maximum resolution at a 60Hz refresh rate for the LVDS display when a single LVDS channel is used?
1920x1080 @ 60fps for each display
- What is the maximum resolution at a 60Hz refresh rate for the LVDS display when both LVDS channels are used?
1920x1080 @ 60fps for each display, lower clock speed (compared to the single link)
- What is the maximum resolution at a 60Hz refresh rate for the two LVDS displays connected to the separate LVDS channels?
The LVDS channels (links) work in duplicate mode. Can support 1920x1080 @ 60fps if the display can accept higher frequency the SoC OLDI IP is capable of driving.
- What is the maximum resolution at a 60Hz refresh rate for the 24-bit DPI (parallel) display?
1920x1080 @ 60fps for each display
- Is it possible to use LVDS and DPI displays simultaneously? What is the maximum resolution at a 60Hz in Dual display configuration?
For the display sub system capability this is possible. 1920x1080 @ 60fps for each display
This depends on the use case and the design implementation.

Sreenivasa
Hello Oleksiy Kasyan,
FYI, i updated the title for searchability.
AM625: AM625 Display sub system OLDI DPI capabilities.

Sreenivasa
In the AM625 datasheet, it is mentioned display resolution 2048x1080
For which display? In which mode?
Hello Oleksiy Kasyan,
I assume your query is which of the DSS supports 2048x1080.
Based on the inputs from the expert, i understand the DPI, OLDS-SL and OLDI-DL IP are capable of supporting 2048x1080.

Sreenivasa
