We are interested to know if the AM64 boot code makes use of the data learning pattern that can be inserted into the leading dummy bytes of each transaction. There was reference to a Tap Delay parameter in the QSPI boot table:
If this feature is active, the QSPI peripheral should have the ability to center on the data bit.
Thank You
Greetings Brad,
The bootcode will find valid data sampling points without the need for any data learning pattern enabled on the flash. There is no support for inserting or reading unrelated leading bytes (even any intended for data learning) to any transaction from the flash and it is not needed.
Sincerely,
Lucas
Hi Lucas,
Does the bootcode key off of a fixed header byte in the application binary?
Thanks,
Joe
Hey Joe,
I am not familiar with the exact mechanism used, I'll see if one of my colleagues can comment.
Sincerely,
Lucas
