Dear Sir,

I am bringing up the camera with Deserializer DS90UB964-Q1EVM.

When I am connecting the 4meter FPD Link cable (in-vehicle) with the camera to TDA4EVM, the camera does not get up, whereas in the same environment when I plug the camera with a 10cm FPD Link cable it gets up.

Can you please let me know, if this Deserializer is tested with a 4-meter FPD Link cable?

    Hi Vyom,

    The DS90UB964 operation in regard to cable length is determined by channel specification performance for insertion and return loss. We have seen typical cable reaches of 10-15m. With low loss cables, the reach of the cable will be extended whereas, high loss cables may only see success in shorter cables. 

    Would you be able to provide insight on the cable type being used? Additionally, what serializer is being used? Is the serializer a custom solution?

    We are using 

    Rosenberger FAKRA connectors 4meter length

    Sensor: ISX016 (Serializer DS90UB913xx)

    Hi Vyom,

    From the initial post, it was stated the camera is brought up successfully with the shorter length cable. What is the lock status on the DS90UB964? This can be read by register 0x4D for each port. 

    Additionally, would you be able to share the Margin Analysis results for the DS90UB964 in a good and bad case?

    I have tried to dump the value of 0x4D, but getting some garbage value.
