Were you able to get the ipc_echo_test example code running?

• 3. Build Steps — Processor SDK QNX J721E (ti.com)
• 5. PSDK QNX Components — Processor SDK QNX J721E (ti.com)

Recommend starting as close as possible to the example code (ie get the message exchange running), then build out from there.

Is message from A72 to MCU2_0 being received, in your new application?   How similar is the 'new' application to the example code.

Currently what we are observing is transmitting side (R5) we are able to see the messages in TRACE32.

But we are stuck at QNX (receiving side in ipc_api.c) inside function RPMessage_rawCreate() at this condition.

Is below correct?

1. A new application on R5 is being tested, which sends IPC message from R5 to A72.
2. Message transmitted from R5, can be seen to arrive on A72.

Which R5 is being used, MCU2_0 (Main Domain R5) or MCU1_0 (MCU Domain R5) or another R5?

1) Yes your understanding is correct, a simple application is being developed which is using the same IPC communication between MCU_2_0 and A72 (QNX)

2) We are not able to see any logs in A72, when tried to debug using trace we are getting stuck at above scenario.

Are we sure if you have had proper integration of the IPC functionality on your simple application that is added to the firmware image loaded to the MCU2_0.

Going back to the basics, things to try:

- Suggest trying to build the IPC echo_test image for MCU2_0 loaded and tested using the ipc_test and make sure it works.

- Review the ipc_echo_test example source to see that you have taken care of all items needed for proper integration of IPC on your simple application. Look at the source found in the PSDK_RTOS installation path pdk_<version>/packages/ti/drv/ipc/examples/.

Yes our sample IPC echo test worked and we were able to get the print logs communicating with the respective cores.
