SK-AM68: Inconsistent color output on DisplayPort

I've got an HP Z23n G2 23-inch display connected via DisplayPort to my SK-AM68 dev board. I'm noticing that about ~25% of the time after rebooting the board, the coloring is incorrect.

This is what sometimes comes up:

Sometimes a simple reboot clears it up. Other times, it takes a few reboots to clear up. I'm not doing anything apart from issue "reboot" via the debug console. No other interaction is going on.

Any ideas what is causing this?

The SD card is programmed with the 'wic' image from here: https://www.ti.com/tool/download/PROCESSOR-SDK-LINUX-AM68A The page references this version info: "09.01.00.06 (08 Dec 2023)" and the m5dum checksum of my download matches what is reflected on that same page: 41296714ff0ce85c6e4b362f24146e5e

Thanks for letting us know about the issue. This is a known issue which should be fixed in our upcoming 9.2 release next week.

My recommendation would be to try out the new release once it comes out, since release date is near.

Do you know if the ETA for 9.2 on the AM68A SDK is this week? This page still shows 09.01.00.06: https://www.ti.com/tool/download/PROCESSOR-SDK-LINUX-AM68A

The 9.2 SDK release for AM68A will happen latest by April 5th but our team is working to get it out sooner.

Yes, this is currently only seen with DP. It is not seen by HDMI.

Coming back to this thread to let you know that we have a "fix" for the color shift issue in 9.2 SDK release. As a disclaimer, it seems the DSI to eDP bridge on the SK-AM68A board still needs some userspace hack as mentioned in the documentation, but I can confirm that the kmstest hack works.

I have moved over to the HDMI connection. I'll go ahead and mark this resolved for now since I won't be testing the DisplayPort connection until later this year.
