AM625: AM625 not booting via SD card

Part Number: AM625

Designed a board using the AM62x STARTER KIT EVM as a reference but currently not booting through SD card; using the same configuration as the evaluation board (note, we are able to boot via SD Card using the EVM). Using AM6254ATCGGAALW. The circuit is identical to the EVM only using resistors instead of switches. the Terminal is communicating via FT234XD-R in the board.

Do you see any output on the console window?

Can you probe MMC1_CLK on your board after power up? Do you ever see this clock toggling? What is the frequency?

We have the same problem, the SD card is not booting on our design

we check MMC1_CLK there is no clk on the pin.

Our board always boot to USB AM62x DFU mode

What could be the reason to have no clk on MMC1_CLK?

Some more information...

-We have a clock on MMC0_CLK (EMMC) when we boot to MMC

When SD Boot is enabled no Clock on MMC0_CLK

We have tested with 2 hardware same result

Hi Stefan, please start a new thread with your issue if you are from a different company. No MMC clock probably means the BOOTMODE signals are not set correctly
