i am assigning this thread to BQ team. On AM62x side we do not have any guidance on charging in Linux. We do not have any hardware/ software in this context on AM62 EVM/ SDK

Hi Udhayamoorthi,

The BQ25790 default settings are for termination enabled at 200mA. There is a bit to disable termination but the last linux driver I saw did not give that as an option. The linux driver gives the option to change the termination current.

We do not want to terminate the current; we want to stop the charging..

Hi Udhayamoorthi,

Charge termination means the charger IC stops charging the battery at the ITERM current setting after the voltage at BATP reaches the regulation voltage set in BATP.
