Tool/software:
Datasheet for part number TMS320VC5510AGBCA2 calls out the ZGW and GGW packages instead of the GBC package (which is linked separately).
Is the datasheet in error or is there some equivalance between the two packages (GBC and ZGW)?

Donald,
The 'GGW' and 'ZGW' packages were BGA Microstar packages that were discontinued and are no longer available. As mentioned in TMS320VC5510A MicroStar BGA Discontinued and Redesigned, these were replaced with the 'GBC' and 'ZAV' package, respectively. The document linked also mentions that the replacement nFBGA package options are equivalent footprint and datasheet electrical performance, so the devices newer nFBGA packages are drop-in replacements for the older BGA Microstar packages.
Thanks,
Mike
Mike,
Thank you. Short of updating the datasheet itself, this explains the discrepancy. Thank you for your help.
