SK-TDA4VM: Flashing SBL boot image using UNIFLASH - UART

Part Number: SK-TDA4VM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH,

Tool/software:

Hi,

I wonder if there is any guide for using UNIFLASH for SBL boot. The only resources that I found are talking only about SPL booting method.

Thanks in advance!

Regards,
Tamas

  • Hi Tamas,

Can you confirm you are using the SK-TDA4VM?

The SK-TDA4VM uses a firmware builder package instead of the RTOS SDK. The SK-TDA4VM does not run the same SBL boot flow as the normal RTOS SDK and neither is it included in the firmware builder package. Therefore you would not be able to use UNIFLASH for SBL boot on this device specifically.

    Thanks,

    Neehar

  • Hi Neehar,

Yes, I am using the Linux Edge-Ai SDK combined with RTOS SDK. This SBL works when trying to boot from SD card.

However I'm interested if flashing the SBL boot image works?

    Regards,
    Tamas

  • Hi Tamas,

I will look into this further and get back to you. Thank you for your patience.

    Thanks,

    Neehar

  • Hi Tamas,

We have very limited support for SK-TDA4VM boards and only support the SD card boot mode. Therefore, you can try to flash the SBL boot image but we don't have any guide or documentation on how to do this,

We don't truly support any SBL boot flow even with SD card boot on the SK-TDA4VM board either.

    Thanks,

    Neehar
