TDA4VH-Q1: VH EVM PMIC I2C

Part Number: TDA4VH-Q1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TDA4VH

Tool/software:

On the TDA4VH EVM schematic block diagram, the PMIC I2C address is 0x12. but on page 30, under the PMIC symbol, it is 0x48, 0x49....

On page 50, have other devices with address 0x48, 0x49 on the same I2C bus.

Somebody told me the PMIC I2C address is 0x12, how can I know the PMIC I2C address?

  • The PMIC supports two different I2C interfaces - one for configuration and monitoring.  The second interface is dedicated for safety/watchdog features.

The PMIC configuration interface is supported on WKUP_I2C0 bus and responds to address 0x48, 0x49, 0x 4A, 0x4B

The PMIC safety/watchdog interface is supported on MCU_I2C0 but and responds to address 0x12.  The temperature sensors on are on MCU_I2C0 bus and therefore do not conflict other PMIC addresses, as they are supported on different interface.
