Blaze Tablet is not running on Battery

Hi,

My Blaze blaze tablet is not running on the battery. But is working on the AC power adapter.

I changed the S4 switch position to support battery input, but is not booting up.

Battery out is : 2.54V.

When I connect the AC adapter then it is showing that "Battery is not charging"

  • Hi Venkata,

I suspect that the battery voltage is too low to boot up the board.. You should need to charge it manually, with removing from board.. ( if the standard charge procedure seems to be failed).

    Apart of that:

    • You can simply boot with internal battery -  as just power off the device, remove the charger and switch S4 to top position ( battery use ). Then, the D3 STATUS3 diode should blink once, tells that the device starts booting..
    • The battery charging happens only when the S4 position is set to battery use and the charger is pugged-in. Otherwise the charger is used as a power supply. So you could try to power of the board, charging for several hours and re-start the boot procedure again.

I just tried myself the following configuration with battery booting , and everything's OK:

HW used: Blaze Tablet 2 with OMAP4470 ES1.0 HS

    SW used: Android Jelly bean 1.1 | Kernel version: 3.0.31-01838-gcda0054 | Build number: blaze_tablet-userdebug 4.1.1 JRO03R 381 (15th Jan)
