Does AM3892 EMAC support MAC-to-MAC protocol

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM3892

Hi,

We need some advice regarding AM3892's GMII connection.

Our customer board has two AM3892 connected each other through GMII.

We would like to know if the AM3892 EMAC support MAC-to-MAC protocol
and is it OK connecting two devices through GMII interfaces directly?

In case of RGMII it was required to provide a delay(internal/External) on the clock
output to provide the required setup and hold margin of the connected device data.

Is the same requirement applies for the GMII interface?

i.e. should the GMTCLK clock be delayed with respect to TXD[0..7] data
by introducing the delay on the PCB or internally in EMAC controller?

We couldn't find more details on the clock delay feature in the AM3892 TRM.

Regards
Prad
