How to connect  c6674(1.8V) with FPGA(3.3V) through EMIF?      Which  voltage-level shifter should I choose?

  • Hello!
You told nothing about FPGA used. Many of them have as 3.3, so 1.8 powered banks. I would check that possibility before applying level shifter.
  • Similarly, most FPGAs support I/O banks that can be powered either at 3.3V or 1.8V.  Therefore, the simplest solution is connecting pins from the C6674 to an I/O bank configured for 1.8V operation.  If you still need conversion, TI has many different kinds of level shifting devices.  You would need to be more specific for us to pin-point a specific device.  For example, TXS or TXB devices are useful for bidirectional level shifting.  Little-logic devices like SN74LVC1T45 or the SN74AVC4T245 are useful either uni-directionally or for bi-directional operation when a direction control signal (i.e. R/W#) is available.  Floating gate devices such as the PCA9306 are useful for bi-directional signals such as I2C.  The C6678 EVM schematic contains examples of all of these.  Please see the following link for detailed device selection support: .
