Hi ,

Is it mandatory to create my project of type RTSC to flash it in external memory(ROM) ? Can I even flash with CCS type?

Hi Rakesh,

The device supports EMIFA 8-bit ROM boot (BOOTMODE[3:0] = 0100b). So you should be able to boot it from it.

Thanks for replying,
I have configured DSP as EMIFA boot mode as per pdf. I am unable to boot when project is created in CCS type?
I could able to boot only RTSC type,but code size is increased to 1.7MB .

For most of the devices RTSC type is not mandatory but you should have prover target configuration. See some training resources at:
