TMS320C5517: Noise cancellation according to P.1100

Part Number: TMS320C5517

Hello All,

My customers are interested in noise cancellation according to P.1100. There are 3 important features which must be met at design:

- Echo cancellation

- Double talking

- Automatic volume control

At our Audio Preprocessing System Reference Designs (www.ti.com/.../TIDA-01589,

http://www.ti.com/tool/TIDEP-0077)

I cannot find any words about  P.1100 compliance. Do we have right solution for automotive?

Best regards,

Dmitry

  • Dmitry,

Due to the US holidays, on this particular E2E thread, our response may get delayed until the week of Jan 2, 2019.

Warmest Wishes for Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year!

  • Dimitrius,

There is NOT P.1100 per say, but all the features that you are looking for are supported in our audio processing libraries and examples.
Automatic volume control is known as Automatic Gain control (AGC) in the documentation.

You will want to check out www.ti.com/.../TIDA-01589 which is a TI Design with echo cancellation.

  • Dimitrius,

Just to correct something from my previous post.

Automatic volume control is NOT supported.

Please note that automatic volume control is different from the automatic gain control (AGC) in the AER. AGC is to control the microphone gain to avoid signal saturation in the echo path, but automatic volume control is to normalize the send path loudness so that talkers close to or far from the mic will sound at same level at the other side.
