CCS/AM5728: SBL CAN'T WORK

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

6862.SBL.zipI created a ccs project refered to the article "Creating a CCS Project for SBL on AM572x GP EVM", and builded the project without problemes. But, when i loaded the SBL file on the SD card, the EVM didnot work. Could you give me some advice to make it work? Thanks very much.

yes , but when i load the MLO file on the SDcard, it didn't work.

Do you have your AM572x EVM set up to boot from SD MMC?

yes, and when i load the MLO which was provided by pdk the evm worked. So, is there some mistake in the project or the way to generate the MLO file? I found the tiimage.exe need a parament called load address, which i used is 0x40300000, is this right?

use the sequence described here:

to generate the MLO.

Hi,

If you use custom board, then you need to modify the SBL sources. You need to take care of the following:
- initialize the DDR with settings that match your hardware
- initialize PLLS & clocks
- configure the correct pinmuxes.

i have add the custom board lib,but when i use 'gmake sbl LIMIT_BOARD=customboard', there isn't a MLO file.whay should i do?

If you want to add custom board to the build, this is a completely different procedure. The step-by-step guide is here:

Hi,
The procedure is to add the custom board library, custom lld sources to the makefile.mk. Also update the build_config.mk, platform.mk, src_files_lld.mk, board_component.mk, config.bld, package.bld & pdksetupenv.bat.
