66AK2L06: IQ Data Meaning

Part Number: 66AK2L06

Hi,

We setup the boards by using the Optimized Radar System Design Using 66AK2L06 - DSP+ARM SoC and ADC14X250.

We were able to sample analog signal in high speed with 66AK2L EVM.

We have achieved IQ Data (We get I and Q data separately) of input analog signal. (We used web interface to get I and Q datas)

But we could not understand what it means..

What is the relationship between IQ Data and real signal (Amplitude vs Time) ?

Thanks

  • Hello!
In digital modulation when you hear IQ, these are In-phase and Quadrature components of complex baseband signal. Perhaps you may wish to search for IQ modulation, quadrature transceiver to get familiar with the concept.
  • Hello,

    Thanks for your answer.

We have examined many documents about In-phase and Quadrature components of complex baseband signal.

    But i want to learn,

ADC converts analog input signal ( basic signal, like sinusoidal wave. we provide this signal through function generator ) to the digital value.

Then, ADC transmits this digital value to the SOC through JESD.

We just want this digital value.  (We do not need IQ modulated signal, We do not need IQN2 )

Is it possible to get this digital value without IQ Demodulation ?

    Best Regards

    Thanks
