Hi Team
As per the datasheet of 66AK2G12, it supports upto 1600MT/s for EMIF interface. But 1866MT/s compatible DDR3 device is implemented in EVMK2GX.
How does this work? Can we implement the memory device higher speed than the controller?

Hello, the device we ordered for the EVM was due to availability and pricing. The faster DDR3L device can operate up to that speed, but with K2 we can only run up to 1600 MT/s and we just run the memory at the lower speed that K2 supports.
Hi Jeff
I am working on "Keystone-II DDR3 Register Calculations" sheet provided by TI for DDR3 registers. DDR3 Memory Device(MT41K512M8DA-107) used in EVMK2GX is not available in drop down list.
How can I fill the datasheet timing values in this sheet? As per my understanding, timing values will be with respect to the device speed. 1866MT/s speed is not available in the sheet.

Hello, if the device is not in the drop down box you will need to use the "User Defined" and set it up for slower speed. Please keep in mind that K2G only supports up to 1066 MT/s so your clock will be 533MHz.
Hi Jeff
Yes, if the device is not in the drop down list, we have to use the " User defined".
Can I copy the timing values of DDR3 chip datasheet with 1866MT/s to the excel sheet for register calculation?

The memory data manual usually has the values for lower clock speeds...for instance, the one used on the EVM has timing values for -800, -1066, -1333, -1600, -1866, and -2133. What memory device are you using?
Hi Jeff
I edited my question after the datasheet understanding.
DDR3 part used in EVMK2GX is MT41K512M8DA-107. It supports -800, -1066, -1333, -1600, -1866 and -2133MT/s as you mentioned.
But for -1066 MT/s, there are two different values of CL-tRCD-tRP are provided(7-7-7 and 8-8-8) based on which the timing values are provided.
If CL-tRCD-tRP = 7-7-7, tRP is 13.125ns and if CL-tRCD-tRP = 8-8-8. tRP is 15ns.
What should I consider? Please respond as early as possible?
