Linux/AM5749:HDMI-VGA converter

sorry for the delayed response. 

were you able to confirm:

1. The HDMI-VGA converter works with a standard TV output, at what resolution and frame rate?

2. How does the converter handles HDCP decryption?

Of course I assume you verified the HDMI output from the EVM can be displayed on a HDMI monitor with no issues. 

Looking at the driver UG:

I am not sure it matters if we attempt to change chroma format, default resolution, or HDCP may help to make the converter happy. But will check with the software team.

Hello jian,

I tried to use 2 types of adapters. Both based on AG6200MCQ chip also both work with video card of PC  and  old monitors which have VGA connectors.

Of course I checked HDMI output from the EVM can be displayed on a HDMI monitor. It is work perfect.

About question 1 and 2 I don't know actually. I  don't know how to check it.

and see if you can print out tidss log information. it should be something similar:

As to the monitor, do you happen to have a known monitor that natively support a known resolution, say 1920x1080p60. I am also asking our driver team to take a look.
