TMS320C6678: CVDD problem for SmartReflex function

Part Number: TMS320C6678
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCD7242, , UCD9244

Hi TI experts,

My customer has using TI DSP & Power block (TMS320C6678 4EA, UCD9244(1EA)+UCD7242(4EA)) in one system.

Existing developments did not use the SmartReflex function. And there was no problem.

They tried to use SmartReflex function in a new project, but it does not work.

When VCNTL is set, 1 out of 4 DSPs outputs a VCNTL value of x”00” and a voltage of 0.7V.

The other DSP outputs the VCNTL value of x”3F” (63), resulting in a voltage output of 1.103V.

Since the DSP's operating power operates from 0.9V to 1.1V, the DSP outputting 0.7V cannot boot.

X"00" is output from the DSP connected in parallel with the JTAG pin. Is it related to the JTAG pin?

Designed according to the Hardware design guide. please check.

Thanks,

Downey Kim.
