Linux/AM5728: CPU load measurement

Hi,

Is it possible to measure the CPU load of IVAHD or IPU when executing encode or decode?
In the Processor SDK linux there are the following commands to check the load of each core, but there seems to be no such two things.
Since IVAHD is a coprocessor, it may not be, but please tell me.
ARM: top command
DSP: dsptop command
GPU: pvrscope command
IPU?
IVAHD?

Hi Shigehiro,

As you said, IVA-HD loading cannot be benchmarked and there is no specific linux tool like "top"command available to benchmark IPU utilization. There is omapconf utility in the Processor SDK filesystem which probe and reports bunch of IPs utilization. You may want to try using that utility.

I check omapconf with reference to the following site, but it seems that it is impossible to measure the IPU load.

Hi Shigehiro-san,

Can you let me know why are you trying to benchmark IPU and IVA-HD load? If you are trying to evaluate feasibility of certain certain use case, I can help estimate it.
