We are using the FDC1004DGSR for our capacitive proximity sensor project. To sense objects, we use a 23mmX23mm sensor plate. It detects hands and metal objects in 3-4 cm. But it doesn't detect non grounded objects such as seeds and glass. Does FDC1004DGSR work well for detecting objects that are not grounded?
When we are using a locally available capacitive sensor, it is detecting almost all the objects.Link for the proximity sensor( Seeds are detecting in the range of 3 cm). My required sensing range is 2-3 cm for seeds.
