is this sensor suitable for TDC1000 ?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TDC1000, TDC7200

Hello,

i want use TDC1000 + TDC7200 for flow meter.

i use this model ultrasonic: FBWFM-010-1.0MHz

refer link: here

is this sensor suitable for my project?

when i use this sensor i can see the signal on TX sensor, but i can't see signal on RX sensor! i changed channels and get same result!

this TX signal:

this RX signal:

RX signal always is zero! can you help me about this problem?

  • For flow meter applications, we mostly used off the shelf complete flow meter sensors to interface to TDC1000. A list of ultrasonic flow meter sensor manufacturers is listed in Appendix A1 of the SNIA020 and SNAA284 app notes.

It looks like FBWFM-010-1.0MHz is a gas transducer. Are you using 2 transducers in pitch/catch mode or 1 transducer and you are looking for echo from some object? If you are just using it on the bench, note air is very absorptive of ultrasonic energy and it needs much higher power to get back any echo.
