Dear TI,
Im currently looking into the regulations for the 77 GHz-band (76-77) the 79GHz-band (77-81).
I found documentation from the ETSI (europe) from 2004 the FCC (america) from 2014 the ARIB (japan) from 2015 (they only describe the 77 GHz-band and also ducoments from the ITU from 2014.
All documentatiotn describe recommendations towards the subject but i can't find any regulation on this subject other than the European Communitiy (EC) who regulated it for the EU in 2004.
Also non of the documents specify the band for industrial use anywhere. Most of them even note its explicitly for the automotive industry.
Is there any place where i can find the current status on the regulation of BOTH bands and any information about regulations of other use than automotive (industrial applications).

but tis topic is incomplete. it only refers to 2 ETSI regulation reports and something about the FCC.
The first answer states much more information but without any refference. I need to be sure about these regulations (possibly world wide) before we can start investing in this technology.
edit: The ITU made an recommendation about these mmWave bands and on their website they state "We allocate global radio spectrum and satellite orbits". Does this mean that with this recommendation every member of the ITU is agreeing on this matter? or does every member still need to sign for acceptance?
