Hi team,
I am not familiar with OPT3101, my customer has the following question, please help support, thank you in advance.
The phase output of OPT3101 is inversely proportional to distance? That is, the larger the distance, the smaller the phase. The customer wants to know what causes it.
The test circuit board is designed by the customer.
Best Regards,
Amy
Hi Amy,
For theory of operation please refer to section 2 here https://www.ti.com/lit/ug/sbau305b/sbau305b.pdf
Phase distance relationship can be found in section 7.3.8 Output Data in the datasheet. It is directly proportional, not inversely.
Additionally, please make sure you customer has reviewed all our collateral before designing their customer board. This device requires careful PCB layout and also calibration before it will be operational. https://e2e.ti.com/support/sensors/f/1023/t/815766
