Hi Ruben,

The peak value (i.e. Y axis) corresponds to the FFT peak value of the detected object. This value does not have a unit and objects with a stronger reflection will produce a higher peak value. This is also discussed in the following thread:

Thanks for your answer. I understand the logMagRange data for the OOB-Demo (uint16 --> Q8 format). But on the contrary the HighAccuracyDemo source code tells me that the logMagRange is "float": high_accuracy_68xx_mss_aop --> mss --> mss_main.c --> line 293

In this context: I understand that the peak value means the signal strength as a relative value. In my understanding, every relative measuring unit have some kind of fixed reference system in the background (a connection to some absolute scale/unit). What is this absolute reference for the mmWave logMagRange signal?

Okay...hmm.. So, I assume, the HighAccuracy-GUI performs their own FFT algorithm inside the GUI to plot the "range profile", isn't it? Where can I find documentation for this FFT algorithm? Is it possible to export these range profile data from the GUI?

Does that mean the transmitted tweaked logMagRange data format looks something like this:
