  • Hi Allen,

a couple things from first glance

1 - you seem to be using both a C and D drive.  I would not recommend this.  I would recommend fully unzipping and installing to a simple local directory like c:/ti or c:/myccs.

2- I would double check for antivirus interference here as well

    Please keep us informed.

    Best REgards,

    Lisa

  • Hi Lisa,

I follow your suggestion, but the situation is the same.

I paste the updated install log here. Thanks for any help.

  • Hi Allen,

as a next step can we please ask you to double check whether eclipse fully uzipped?

Can you please check the contents of C:/Users/xiluo/AppData/Local/Temp/ijtmp_4F4C7771-4DFA-494C-A256-3683C0EA9CAC, C:/Users/xiluo/AppData/Local/Temp/ijtmp_4F4C7771-4DFA-494C-A256-3683C0EA9CAC/baserepo and C:/Users/xiluo/AppData/Local/Temp/ijtmp_4F4C7771-4DFA-494C-A256-3683C0EA9CAC/eclipse?

    The eclipse unzip commands are:

    C:/Users/xiluo/AppData/Local/Temp/ijtmp_4F4C7771-4DFA-494C-A256-3683C0EA9CAC/unzip.exe -q -o -d "C:/Users/xiluo/AppData/Local/Temp/ijtmp_4F4C7771-4DFA-494C-A256-3683C0EA9CAC" "C:/CCS5.3.0.00090_win32/baserepo/eclipse_core_3.7.2.zip"

    C:/Users/xiluo/AppData/Local/Temp/ijtmp_4F4C7771-4DFA-494C-A256-3683C0EA9CAC/unzip.exe -q -o -d "C:/Users/xiluo/AppData/Local/Temp/ijtmp_4F4C7771-4DFA-494C-A256-3683C0EA9CAC/baserepo" "C:/CCS5.3.0.00090_win32/baserepo/eclipserepo.zip"

    Best Regards,

    Lisa

  • Hi Lisa,

I have checked the content of the unzipped folders, they are definitely the same as the contents that I invoke the unzip command to create.

The phenomena on my side is as below:

    Thanks.

  • Hi Allen,

this seems to be a windows message/new issue to us here.  What do you experience/see when/if you press "Debug"?

    Best Regards,
    Lisa

  • Hi Lisa,

If I press "Debug", I will enter the visual studio debug mode which I can see the dis-assembly of setup program. There will pop up a series of dialog box, it's something like:

By the way, I have tried the installation in some other PC, it succeed in one win7-64 OS, but failed in other win7-32 OS and my PC is also win7-64.

But I found that there is one same thing has been done in the two PC which are failed, we have installed CCS5.0.3 in the two PC, but the successful one is clear of this software. So do you think it might be the reason?

I will also try to clear my PC environment and re-install it again, any progress will be posted here. Thanks.

    Allen

  • Hi Allen,

ok, please clean and do try a fresh installation.   Although it should not, it is possible a previous install is confusing the installer and making it use "rerun" mode which is not good.  Also, as mentioned, please be sure no junctions/mapped or virtual drives are used.

    Please keep us informed.

    Best Regards,
    Lisa

  • Hi Allen,

just thought I would check whether there is any update with your enquiry.

    Best Regards,
    Lisa

  • Hi Lisa,

Sorry for the oblivion for update.

Actually, there is no improvement on the issue though I have tried in many ways. My colleague has installed a WIN-XP OS in her VMware virtual machine and try to install 5.3 again, but unexpectedly it's also failed. Then she install v5.2 instead and it works.

It seems the problem might be suspended and please notice me if you see something new about this.

    Thanks for any effort.

    Allen

  • HI Allen,

ok, did you try a clean fresh installation removing the previous installations and clearing the isntalljammer folders as well?  As mentioned, we think perhaps the multiple attempts was confusing the installer into rerun mode.

Please keep us informed.  Also you may want to try the v5.4 beta with its slightly newer installer.

    Best Regards,
    Lisa
