Using CCS Version: 5.3.0.0009 on linux:
I updated some packages and installed using sudo into /opt/ti directory...restarted CCS and it recognized the new packages:
IPC1.25.1.09
BIOS6.34.3.19
But my app wouldnt compile so I went to BuildSettings/CCS General/RTSC tab and the new packages were showing up, but the tooltip
for each was saying no repositories were defined and I should uninstall/reinstall the product. I also noticed that the "help" for those packages was non-functional...
I ended up adding the repos manually so I could compile but help is still not working...
Whats the problem here and will a re-install help matters?
Hi Kent,
Sorry for the slow reply. This one slipped though the cracks and I apologize for that.
You installed using sudo... are you running CCS using sudo? Personally I recommend people to install CCS with the same permissions as they will be running CCS in. If you plan on running CCS as user, install as such.
Also you mentioned:

Were the old packages working fine and things failed after the update?
Thanks
