Can't update CCS6.1

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CCSTUDIO

Installed CCS6.1.0.00104_win32 on a replacement PC. Tried to update the software and get this error:

An error occurred while collecting items to be installed
session context was:(profile=epp.package.cpp, phase=org.eclipse.equinox.internal.p2.engine.phases.Collect, operand=, action=).
No repository found containing: org.eclipse.update.feature,com.ti.ccstudio.msp430.emu.win32,6.2.0.1
No repository found containing: binary,com.ti.ccstudio.msp430.emu.win32_root,6.2.0.1

Tried deleting the cache directory as suggested in another posting:

"C:\ti\ccsv6\eclipse\p2\org.eclipse.equinox.p2.core\cache"

"C:\ti\ccsv6\eclipse\p2\org.eclipse.equinox.p2.repository\cache"

retried - same error.

  • Same here. Please help.

  • Could you please try the following:
Go to Help-> Install New Software
Select one of the update sites  you wish to update from, from the drop down list.
Unselect the checkbox (right at the bottom of the screen) "Contact all update sites..."
    Continue with the update.
If this works, shut down CCS altogether, restart it, and try the rest of your updates. This should reset the eclipse metadata which seems to have gotten corrupted.
Please let me know if this works for you.
    Thanks
