last year I purchased a TMS320VC5505 eZdsp USB stick.
I installed the free CCSTUDIO license on a Dell Inspiron laptop. I did
not have much luck using it and put it aside until today.
I came to the conclusion that the Inspiron laptop, which only has 1 GB
of RAM, might not be adequate to properly run the CCSTUDIO software, so
I attempted to install on a Dell Latitude laptop that has more memory.
I followed the instructions which said I should apply for the free
software. When I did this it took me to the ti website where I made a
mistake in entering my email address
So it registered under the wrong email address and I did not receive
a license file in an email.
I attempted to correct the situation by editing the profile with the
incorrect email address and it does not accept the correct email address
because that email address is already registered. So I put my wife's
email in and she received the welcome email,
but not the license file.
I sent an email to: license file help @ ti.com
And they responded that they cannot help me.
Any ideas as to how I can rehost the existing license?
Hi,
a step-by-step guide how to apply/activate a license is here http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/GSG:CCSv4_Running_for_the_first_time
Also have a look at this FAQ: http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Licensing_-_CCSv4#Q:_How_do_I_generate_a_free_license_for_XDS100.2C_simulator_or_EVM.2FDSK_use.3F
