I'v recently upgraded from CCSv5 to CCSv8, but am not able to install the C5500 Compiler from App Center. I get the following error:

    I was able to install the C5500 compiler from the CCS App Center into my CCSv8.1.

    Usually the installer writes logs that are located under the directory ccsv8/install_logs/<date_when_installer_started>.

    Can you check the tail of the .log files there and see if you can spot any problems with the install steps? Sometimes they can show evidence of problems with paths, accessibility/permissions, download or corruption issues or even suspicious deletions (file .exe not found), which could be caused by anti-virus software inadvertently blocking the execution or quarantining the installer executable.

  • I've been looking through the log-files, but have not been able to find any clue.

    By searching through e2e, I was able to find a link to a site where I could download and install C5500 compiler directly. It did the trick, so my system is now up and running.
