CCSv5 license problem

Hi,

I downloaded CCS_5.0.1.00036 and setup it.

I read this web page:

Choosig the license

Differently than CCSv4, CCSv5.0 does not require a license to work, but the general available release CCSv5.1 will.

 

And I read starting CCS, TI816xFlasingToolsEA3.pdf(page 4).

using XDS560v2, make target configuration file and launch selected configuration,

The following error message occurred.

 

How to solve this problem?

 

Using xds100v2,

during the launching, error message(shown console tab) occurs repeatedly.

    That topic is a bit out of date.  The very first few builds of CCSv5 didn't require a license but the current ones do.  You can use a CCSv4 license if you have one.  As you are using an XDS100 emulator you can use a free license.

    If you go to the help menu and select "Code Composer Studio licensing information".  In the dialog that opens you should be able to generate the free license for xds100.  Check on the upgrade tab and click on the Launch license setup button.
