Hi, I want to export a WeBench model for TPS62913 to TINA. I click on export and then it says "Export failed".

Hi Muhammad,
I can export the file to TINA without any issue. You need to click "Simulation"---select a simulation (Load transient or input transient or steady state) ---start----After simulation completed---Click "Export"---Select TINA-TI-----Wait for export completed----click Download. See my screenshot as attached.Export.pptx
Hope this helps,
Thanks,
Nancy
Hi Nancy,
I followed the steps. Selected and started steady state simulation and the error "Export Failed" persists. Not sure what is wrong here.
Link for my design:
Hi Muhammad,
Yes, I saw same "Export Failed" when I use your file. Will check the issue.
Thanks,
Nancy
Hi Muhammad,
I check this webench issue. If enabled second stage output filter, the export to TINA-TI will fail. If disabled second stage output filter, the export to TINA-TI will be success. I reported this issue to the webench team. Will let you know when I get any feedback.
Thanks for your patience!
Nancy
Hi Muhammad,
We are still working on this issue, we are not able to find the root cause of the same. We'll keep you posted as and when we have any updates.
Please use Simplis or PSPice model to run simulation.
Thanks for your patience.
Thanks,
Hi Muhammad,
Our Webench team were able to find the root cause of this issue and it is "Ferrite Bead" inductor.
When second stage output filter is enabled, the inductor by default is Ferrite Bead type and this model of Ferrite Bead Inductor is not defined in TINA tool.
Our internal team is working on to fix this issue and it would take some time, currently this issue is kind of limitation.
Meanwhile we can propose a solution to have TINA schematic to work for this device with second stage output filter and that is,
1. Download TINA schematic without second stage output filter.
2. Add second stage output filter manually (as per https://e2e.ti.com/support/tools/simulation-hardware-system-design-tools-group/sim-hw-system-design/f/simulation-hardware-system-design-tools-forum/824903/tina-spice-ferrite-bead-model-for-tina )
3. Resistance (assuming it to be Inductor's DCR) value and Capacitance (Cout1 as per WEBENCH design) value would be same as that of values appearing on WEBENCH design created with second stage output filter enabled and Inductor value can be as low as possible.
I will let you know once the issue is fixed.
Hope this helps,
Thanks,
Nancy
