As mentioned in the original thread we are currently using the linux gateway solution. I'm looking for a solution that works better, less cumbersome, embedded, not linux.

That's why I started looking into the MSP432 solution to have ethernet connectivity and Simplelink family device.

And like mentioned here, this is what we are looking for in a gateway solution: 

ethernet connection, an embedded solution, (no linux), OTA firmware upgrades, secure commissioning, and a product that is actively being supported/updated.
