Hi, I want to boost the power of a cc1352p to 27dbm, using cc1190. I found a lot of information about how to do it using cc1310+cc1190, but none for cc1352+cc1190. My question is about the impedance mathing betwen cc1352 and cc1190. Is the output impedance of cc1352p the same as of cc1310? Can I use the same matching circuit as of the cc1310?

Hi Pantelis,

If you do not need +20 dBm for the 2.4 GHz band (so are happy with +5 dBm output power at 2.4 GHz) then you could consider the CC1352R (to simplify your design slightly).

You should LAUNCHXL-CC1310-CC1190 (SWRC338): https://www.ti.com/lit/zip/swrc338 as your starting point, but will need to consider the following factors (discussed in the linked threads):

The CC1352x products have not been as extensively tested with the CC1190 due to the integrated +20 dBm power amplifier on the P products, which is the reason for there being less documentation available.

In summary, you can use the SWRC338 design but will need to make the necessary adjustments (crystal, ect.) to migrate to the CC13x2 device as well as being aware of the maximum input power of the CC1190.

Thank you Zack for the detailed reply. I'm asking about the impedance matching between the 2 devices. As I understand from your reply, this has not been tested so far, so I will start using the same network used in 1310 to 1190, Thanks

We have previously recommended starting with the same network to customers and, from what we are aware of, that produced positive results.

For clarity, our recommendation is indeed to use the CC1310-CC1190 network.
