LPV358-N: the max input voltage for the op amp

Hi, sir

the inserted file is my application for opa LPV358-N

What I need are a 0V-2V voltage for positve bias for back gate circuit and a -2V-0V voltage for negative bias for back gate circuit.

firstly, I use the trim-pot or digital trim-pot as a adjustable resister divider to generate 0V-2V voltage , then connect the voltage to a voltage follower and a voltage inverte to obtain more capability to driver the load,

my question is whether my solution is available or not? can I connect a DC voltage directly to a OPA?

Hi Michael,

Yes, you can provide a DC signal to the op-amp but it is important to mind the input common mode voltage limitations. The LPV358-N accepts a common mode voltage up to VCC-0.8V, so with a 3.3V supply and a 2V input signal, you'll be okay.

Hi MichaelK,

The current design shown in the document using the LPV358-N uses a 6.6V (3.3V - (-3.3V)) supply which exceeds the maximum operating voltage of the device. The maximum operating voltage of the LPV358-N is 5V.

Do you require a 6.6V supply voltage? If so, we will need to find you another device with an operating supply voltage above 6.6V.
