TMS320DM8168: DDR_CLK duty cycle adjustable?

Part Number: TMS320DM8168

Customer found the DDR_CLK duty cycle doesn't meet DDR memory requirement slightly on their board, ask if it is adjustable as it is a output signal from DSP.

  • Hi Tony,

No, DM816x DDR_CLK (DDR controller clock output) duty cycle can NOT be adjusted, you can control only the frequency of that clock. The DM816x DDR controller is JEDEC compliant, and should work with every JEDEC compatible DDR memory, with the default duty cycle (no need to adjust). Most probably, their DDR memory is NOT JEDEC compliant.
