THS3491: Zol test and parasitic capacitance of noninverting terminal questions

Part Number: THS3491
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: , OPA684

Dear Team,

I build THS3491 demo with this board.

  • Rf=300Ω
  • Rg=40.2Ω

This specs come from customer, and I know it's unreasonable for Rf is too small at this Gain. When increasing the Rf=1.47k, the 3491 became stable. But I also doubt that it may be the capacitance between noninverting terminal and GND, which makes the 3491 instable. In this situation, I have some questions.

  • How can I make sure whether it's parasitic capacitance between noninverting terminal that makes 3491 unstable?
  • "AP M300 RFA" Can I use this device to test Zol of VFA even CFA? If I can, please give some guidance, if not, how to do the test?
  • At first I powered Vs+ and Vs- with no input of two input terminals. The output of 3491 was instable and shaking all the time. After some test, I did the same experiment, the output of 3491 was -15V=Vs- with nothing at the input terminals. So I want to ask if it's broken? Or how to explain this...
  • How does Ri change when other spec changes, could you please give some more materials?

Thanks for your help!

B R,

Owen Yan
