INA229: Extending Bus voltage range to 400V

Part Number: INA229
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: INA226, INA228, ISO7741

We would like to measure the current/voltage/power on a 400V battery with 60A max. discarge current "as precise as possible" and the INA229 would be a great match if it only could measure higher voltages....
So what would be the best solution for extending the input range?

I need an additional voltage divider (1:5), but the internal 800k to 1.2M voltage divider on the VBUS pin is the main"problem" because it is not simple to buffer the maximum input voltage of 85V with an opamp to use the full range.
So would it be better to use a lower maximum input voltage (i have a 12V supply in the system which I can use for a buffer) or to use a lower value voltage divider which would be less unbalanced from the INA229 input voltage divider with his large tolerances?
