OPA541: The CAD/CAE Symbols for OPA541AM do not match the pinout in the datasheet.

Hi,

As the title suggests, the CAD/CAE Symbols and datasheet pinouts for the OPA541AM(TO-3) do not seem to match.

If I understand correctly, the datasheet seems to show the side view and the bottom view.

Which one is the correct pinout?

    Hi,

    The OPA541AM in the 8-pin, TO-3 package is an obsolete and discontinued product that TI no longer provides support. All I am able to find about this discontinued version of the OPA541 is an original Burr-Brown datasheet that shows the correct, top-view pin arrangement with corresponding pin functions.

    The TO-3 package pin functions are seen here:

    If the CAD/CAE symbol for the OPA541AM is not correct in the library, changes won't be made due to its discontinued status. In which case you may want to create your own new symbol.
