Hello, I am currently using the LMV821 as a microphone Preamp but it has a noisy output. I was looking into a fully differential opamp or a low noise opamp as potential solutions. The best option I found is the OPA2376 audio amp. My application requires the same or better specs than the LMV821, would you be able to tell me if I chose a great replacement or if TI has a better device?
I really appreciate the help with this question.
Hi John,
Enclosed is a list of audio amplifiers and we have plenty to choose from. OPA1611/OPA1612 could be a good one, depending on the design requirements. Any of these will replace LMV821.

LMV821 is noisy most likely because it uses bipolar input transistors with its high input current noise getting converted across the input impedance into voltage noise. OPA376 is a good alternative BUT I think OPA397 would give customer best results because of its lowest IB.
Thank you for taking the time to explain why the LMV821 is noisy. I will look more into the OPA397.
Thank you for the list of amps that would be good for this application. I will review them and see which fits best in this application.
Hi John,
I am going to close this inquiry for now. If you have additional questions, please let us know.
