LM393A: The IOL value

Part Number: LM393A

Hi team,

My customer has a question regarding the low-level output current IOL of LM393A. It is shown that when the VID=-1V, the min IOL is 6mA. But how about when the VID=-0.1V?

Do we have the test results between VID v.s. VOL? Thanks!

Regards,

Xiaoying

  • Hello Xiaoying,

Everything you need to know is in figure 6-3:

The input drive has no effect on the sinking ability. At -100mV, the input is fully saturated.

The curve above is valid for -1V or -0.1V.

The Y direction shows the voltage dropped across the output (VOL), and the Z shows the current being sunk (IOL).
