I'm designing a circuit that has a rather tight Vin headroom and I'm scratching my head trying to figure out Vi and Vcm for the TL074H. According to TI the TL074H and TL084H should be the same but the datasheets are contradictory.
Which value is the correct headroom I need to assume for the TL074H? Is it 2V or 4V above the negative rail?
Hello Kosma,
Recommended is 2V to VCC which is fine for most cases. However no EC table performance limits.
VCM of 1.5V to VCC is fine for 25C and near by. No EC table limits, but it does work as an op amp.
In the tables with limits, 2.5V to VCC is specified full temperature
In summary, risk increases below 2.5V. The risk for lower CMRR rejection ratio.
