LF198-N: Temperature Characteristics

Part Number: LF198-N

Dear TI Forum

Hope you are doing well.

2 month ago, I've asked some questions about this plot, but I'm sorry to see your answer too late.

I have more questions about this plot.

1. All conditions are same without temperature.

If LF-198 works in 55ºC, Droop rate plot will be drawed like below red line?

If yes, all plots of droop rate condition between 25ºC~85ºC will be placed between 25ºC~85ºC plot like 55ºC?

If you have any question, please contact me.

Thank you in advance.

Best Regards,

Wantae, Kim

  • HI Kim,

Looking at Figure 7, the leakage current into hold capacitor, at +55°C is ~0.2nA:

Based on this leakage current at -55C, we can calculate the output droop rate ΔV/ΔT in V/Sec:

    ΔV/ΔT = ILeakage / C

Let  ILeakage = 0.2x10^-9, Using excel, solve for ΔV/ΔT in V/Sec:

Therefore, at +55ºC, based on the typical leakage current into hold capacitor over temperature (Figure 7), the output droop rate in V/Sec is plotted on Figure 4, as shown below:

     Thank you and Regards,

    Luis
