TLV9101: the quiescent current of the non-inverting input amplifier

Part Number: TLV9101
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: OPA376,

Tool/software:

Dear team,

https://e2e.ti.com/support/amplifiers-group/amplifiers/f/amplifiers-forum/620888/opa376-measurement-circuit-for-quiescent-current

after referring to the E2e post of Iq measuring of an OPAMP,

"as long as your input common-mode and the output voltage are within the OPA376 linear range (see CMRR and AOL condition column), the quiescent current will be the same."

May I double check in the following circuit of TLV9101:

this circuitry can obtain the same measured Iq similar to datasheet, Is my understanding right?

Best regards,

Hank Lin

  • Hi Hank,

That is correct. Quiescent current is measured in the linear region of the op amp operation. Not when it's being slammed to one of the supply rails.

As far as I know, this is true for every single op amp datasheet.
