I believe I have problem #3 as listed in this TI thread https://e2e.ti.com/support/data-converters-group/data-converters/f/data-converters-forum/916049/faq-warning-you-are-connecting-to-an-unrecognized-evm-error-message. I do not know how to fix it as I keep getting the "unrecognized EVM" message.
Hello Michael,
Thank you for using the TI forum. It is possible that you just need to update your firmware and/or driver. Please follow the steps in the suggested answer from this post:
If the firmware won't update after following those instructions, then follow the E2E link that will point to some other E2E threads that have some helpful tips and suggestions to resolve common driver/firmware issues.
If none of those work, then let me know and we can look into other options.
Regards,
Mitch
Hi Mitch, thanks for the help, I can't access the link you provided, is there somewhere else I can reference to
Hey Michael,
Sorry, I didn't realize that was an internal link.... Here is the relevant info from that thread:
Before trying to associate the driver, first try this:
NOTE: If you can't get the green connect indicator on step 6b, try the process again with the EVM disconnected. In this case the green connect indicator will show connected to the TI_SCB.
NOTE: If the firmware update fails for any reason, power cycle the device before trying again.
If that does not work, try to associate the driver manually. Here are some specific steps for that:
Note that if a firmware update fails for any reason, then the MCU will need to be power cycled before it will work again.
Sometimes other devices on the USB hub can also cause problems, see this thread for an example:
