Thank you for using the TI forum. You can accomplish this though either mirroring the current or sensing low side and dividing down the bus voltage. Here are a few examples:

Mirroring current (shunt on the high-side):

Voltage divider (shunt on the low side):

You can just use a voltage divider to make VBUS within range, similar to the section of TIDA-00528 after the current mirror. Then you scale the results accordingly.  

If you need different grounds between the load and the MCU, then you can still do this with digital isolation:

For reference, if you need to use large negative voltages on the VBUS, then you can use a digital isolator and float the voltage of the INA:

Note that if you use a digital isolator, make sure the one you use works with the voltage logic levels (including logic low levels) of the INA you use (and note that many isolators have different specs for each side).

Ok, sorry to hear that. You may be able to use an isolated ADC and do a more custom setup as well.
