Hi Teams
I need to use the INA226 EVM.
According to the description on TI's official website, I have downloaded the driver and GUI.
https://dev.ti.com/gallery/info/CurrentSensing/
After installing the driver and GUI, the USB device is still not recognized. Could you please help confirm what the issue might be?
Hello Sky,
From the photo you sent me, it looks like your EVM may be in DFU mode. This means that it should be ready for a firmware update. From the GUI (https://dev.ti.com/gallery/info/CurrentSensing/INA226EVM_GUI), got to File -> program device...
Our EVM does not use USB2ANY, so you'll need to use the GUI linked above.
If you have any issues programming the device, then you may need to manually associate the driver for DFU mode, here are some instructions to help with that:
It's possible that you may need to manually associate the serial and bulk drivers as well. The link above also links to another e2e thread that shows how to associate the drivers.

Mitch
Hi Mitch
Thank you for your assistance. I am now able to operate the device. However, I encounter two issues during use:
Sky,
Thank you for your patience.
Due to the U.S. holidays, Mitch is currently out of the office and will reply when he returns on 1/6.

Hello Sky,
Here are my responses to your questions:
1. Are you trying to use the GUI offline or online? For example, the online can be accessed directly here: https://dev.ti.com/gallery/view/CurrentSensing/INA226EVM_GUI. Is this where you see the issue? or is it when downloading for offline use? (if one is not working for you, you could try the other way... it can be downloaded for offline use with this button:
(From this link: https://dev.ti.com/gallery/info/CurrentSensing/INA226EVM_GUI)
2. Sometimes you can get the connection to work if you hit the reset button on the MCU instead of resetting the GUI.
Regards,
Mitch
Hey Sky,
I haven't heard from you in a while, so I will presume that you were able to get this figured out and I'll close this thread. If you do need more help, then feel free to just reply here again (or click "Ask a related question" if this thread gets locked).

Mitch
