PGA308EVM: 3-wire calibration; one-wire and output config

Part Number: PGA308EVM

Hi,

I have JMP7 set to "Vout to One" and JMP1 set to "1W to Vout" and have checked off the "OWD" and "One wire connected to Vout" in the one-wire and output config options, but I still get the "ONE Wire Time Out" error and the "OWD" box keeps automatically un-checking itself after it attempts communication. I have tried using JUMP8 on the USB DAQ Platform in "SPD" and "GND".

I have tried reinstalling the PGA308EVM software but nothing has changed. I have no problem calibrating in 4-wire mode, but need 3-wire for my sensor calibration.

Thanks,

Ryan

  • Hi Ryan,

I was able to reproduce this behavior on a PGA308EVM. The issue I found was that if the Dout/Clamp pin was configured as a clamp, one wire communication wasn't possible. Configuring this as Dout allowed the EVM to communicate again.

  • Hi Ryan

We haven't heard back from you so we assume this resolved your issue. If not, post below, or start another thread if this on has timed-out.

    Thanks
    Dennis
